Terms and Conditions

Effective date: September 5, 2026

Welcome to janellewillett.com. This website is owned and operated by Willett Enterprises, LLC, an Idaho limited liability company (“Willett Enterprises,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website.

1. Website Purpose

This website provides information about proofreading, copy editing, virtual assistance, and related freelance services offered by Willett Enterprises, LLC.

Information on this website is provided for general informational and promotional purposes. Visiting the website or contacting us does not create a client relationship. A client relationship begins only after both parties have agreed to the scope, price, schedule, and other applicable terms of a project.

Individual projects may be governed by a separate proposal, estimate, service agreement, or other written communication. If those project-specific terms conflict with these website terms, the project-specific terms will control for that project.

2. No Guarantee of Error-Free Work

Proofreading and copy editing involve professional judgment. Although we strive to provide careful and accurate work, no editing or proofreading service can guarantee that a document will be completely free of errors.

Clients remain responsible for reviewing and approving the final document before publication, submission, printing, distribution, or other use.

Unless expressly agreed to in writing, our services do not include legal review, fact-checking, plagiarism detection, permissions research, citation verification, or verification of the accuracy of a client’s claims.

3. Not Professional Advice

Nothing on this website constitutes legal, financial, tax, medical, academic, or other regulated professional advice. Editing suggestions concerning material in one of these fields are editorial in nature and should not be treated as advice from a qualified professional.

4. Client Materials and Ownership

You retain ownership of the documents and original materials you provide to us. By sending material to us, you represent that you own the material or have the legal authority to provide it for editing.

You grant us a limited right to access, copy, and modify the material solely as necessary to evaluate, perform, and deliver the requested services.

We will not claim ownership of your original work. Any ownership or usage rights concerning original material created by Willett Enterprises for a client will be addressed in the applicable project agreement.

5. Confidentiality

We understand that client documents may contain unpublished, private, or proprietary information. We will take reasonable measures to protect client materials and will not intentionally disclose them except:

  • As necessary to perform the requested services;

  • To service providers that support our business operations;

  • With the client’s permission; or

  • When required by law.

Client documents are not submitted to generative artificial-intelligence services as part of our standard proofreading or copy-editing process.

Any additional confidentiality requirements should be included in a written client agreement or nondisclosure agreement.

6. Estimates, Payments, and Cancellations

Project pricing, deposits, payment deadlines, cancellation terms, turnaround times, and revision allowances will be provided in the applicable estimate, invoice, proposal, or service agreement.

Invoices and electronic payments are processed through QuickBooks Online and its supported payment providers. Their terms and privacy practices may apply when you use their services.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the text, graphics, branding, logo, design, downloads, and other content appearing on this website belong to Willett Enterprises, LLC or are used with permission.

You may view and print reasonable portions of the website for your personal, noncommercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems;

  • Introduce malicious software or interfere with the website’s operation;

  • Misrepresent your identity when contacting us;

  • Infringe another person’s intellectual-property or privacy rights; or

  • Submit material that you do not have the right to provide.

We may decline inquiries or projects involving unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate material.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or use third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement.

10. Website Availability and Disclaimer

We attempt to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, secure, current, or free from errors.

To the extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Willett Enterprises, LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, and representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your access to or use of—or inability to access or use—this website.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Liability arising from paid client services will be governed by the applicable project agreement and applicable law.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Willett Enterprises, LLC and its representatives from claims, losses, or expenses arising from material you submit, your unlawful use of the website, or your violation of these terms or another person’s rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal proceeding concerning these website terms will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Idaho, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
